eInfochips, an Ahmedabad based electronics design services company is contemplating a 6 week “Impetus” program during summer vacation.  This program would be conducted in 2 phases for students from EC/IC/CE/IT dept of engineering colleges:

• Phase-I (3-week) after 4th semester and
• Phase-II (3-week) after 6th semester

The program's objective is to work with institutions in making education industry oriented with respect to technical and software skills of students. The programme is designed to address the increasing need of having industry-ready technical talent. With this perspective, eInfochips would like to extend a partnership invitation to institutes to conduct the programme for mutual benefit of educational institutions and the software industry. We certainly like to seek commitment for “Impetus” program which we are confident will be of immense benefit to the faculty,  the students and the technology industry at large.

The proposed structure for this programme would be as under:
Phase – I:

• The Basic C language
• Programming Techniques in C language
• Debugging Techniques
• Operating Systems Fundamentals
• Linux as Operating System

Phase –II:

• Linux Architecture
• Advance C programming
• Inter process Communication:-  practical challenges and solutions
• Multi processor design, architecture, Multi-tasking and multithreading – real life considerations in architecting, designing, debugging systems
• Development of Advanced Device Drivers
• RISC Architecture
• Update on new Architectures in Computer Systems

Please note the structure of the proposed syllabus and topics may change according to feedback from the participating institutions, students and the industry.

We would like to make one institute, in every geographical zone of Gujurat, a nodal institution which will cater to training of students from all near-by engineering colleges. The nodal institute(s) would be selected on factors such as location, infrastructure readiness and various other considerations that would add to the success of the programme.
